Summary
The weather channel warned of severe thunderstorms and although we Slammers are famous for pushing the line and expecting the best out of the worse, we got hit by the forecasted storm by the third hole. The Outaouais, to this OC's delight, is quite well set up to protect it's golfers out on the course in the event of a storm and we hunkered down under one of the metal roofed shelters positioned between the 3rd and 4th holes on the East course. All in all, the storm delayed our progress for a total of one hour but these eight Slammers would not give up play and we all finished well before dark and within a hole of eachother. Thank you to Grumpy and the crew in the first group for sending out texts to see if we were OK and still with them on the course.

Clang is an animal out there today as nothing fazes this Slammer....torrential downpours, lightening and thunder overhead....He "kicks it" or should I say "Slams it" taking down all his opponents with the upset wins over KaDaver and Grumpy and defending against Popeye. He even gives a gift to Grumpy in the form of (apparently) 2 weeks supply of TP. This was Clang's 4th lifetime match up with the dead man, and for the first time in their match history Clang takes the win and KaDaver's #8 spot in the Slammer ranks. Two birds, 2 skins and a doggie round out the day. Fantastic! |

Rexall announced on the first tee that he would be seeking revenge on his Slammer buddies....and he followed through on his promiss by going 3-0 and upsetting all in his foursome with the wins against Wally, Chubs and IronMaiden....moving up and over and into the top 15. He also gets a big thank you from IronMaiden for letting her sit in his cart when the nasty weather struck. Well done! |

KaDaver is solid as usual adding 4 points to his running total in the Bud Light points race. KaDaver also adds 2 birds, 3 skins and a skulless doggie to his stats. These 3 skins move him into a tie for the lead with PointZero in the Evolution skins leaderboard. Nice! |
