Summary
Ahhhhh, The Canadian. Always a pleasure to take a short jaunt West to play this little gem of a course with (IMHO) the most fantastic practice facility available in the area. They are always so welcoming and top knotch in the service they offer the Slammers and today was no exception. Lee Tamburano offered a putting clinic at high noon on their outstanding putting green and these tips must have been something special....as Pepilepu blew onto the course in a frenzy of birdies starting off the front nine three under after three. A fantastic day under a sunny blue sky with temps in the mid twenties made it feel like summer had truely arrived....but it's still spring afterall and the season is still young.

What a little stinker! Three birdies, one-two-three. Just like that. It must have felt like he was in a dream the way his round started today....or maybe he was in a trance set my Lee on the practice green. Either way, continue that way through 18 and you'll be shooting an "Anika 59" next time! Our first star uses this head start on the first three holes and holds on to go 3-0 for 6 points as he defends against Stymie and records the upset wins over StevieRay and Chill...moving up 60+ spots in the Slammer ranks. Two of his three birds were good for the skin and he tops 'er off with a doggie on #3, stuffed to within 23 inches of the pin. Congrats! |

IronMaiden also has a great day on the course as she defends her rank against Small Pak, Papa Malone and SlapShot to add 6 more points to her running total in the Bud Light points race. IronMaiden begins her little rampage on #9 taking the dog...is the only Slammer in the field to par #10 and then proceeds to take the "trifecta" on #16 with the bird, skin and doggie. Cha-Ching! |
