 Notables - Notable Performances Malone (Kevin) came here as #61, went 9-0 including a win over ShortStack, and a move a lot higher on the ladder. Barbsy also went 9-0, has some game and we hope to see him a little more. ChooChoo returns to the nation’s capital with a 7-0 record and as the highest ranking slammer with his upset over Smitty. Pizzaman’s only loss was to Malone and has an 8-1 record, and leads the tour in skins with his three here. Lucky was also 8-1, losing only to Rulz. Cuba's 7-1 was the fifth best record. On this trip we decided to have three stars for the weekend, and admittedly, I must state that it is tough enough to pick three stars in the few minutes after the round, but then to add three for the weekend! I took the three stars of each event, then took into account anybody who had a second or third star also – there were no multiple stars on this trip – and came up with the following: third star was Sunday’s first star – RedDog gets a $20 Slammer Gear gift certificate. Second star for the weekend was Friday’s first star Lee-Zeee who gets an additional $30 Slammer Gear certificate. Yesterday’s first star wins the $50 Slammer gear certificate, much to the chagrin of most people in the room. He won the putting contest, and the first door prize, and a few other things as well. That was ChooChoo.
- The Evolution Physio skins were once again prepared by Iron Maiden and the 42 bones were awarded as you see to the right.
- The Culligan dogs were worth 47 bones each. Reminder to you all out there – that it is very important to mark your ball clearly – in order to help with all of the star decisions. The unmarked ball that said John Daly was eventually identified and changed Shankless from third to second star,
- Remember that pool that was mentioned on Friday? Ten Slammers guessed how many skins they would win? Well SunShine predicted none and she was right. She was the only one to guess the correct amount and won the 50 bones.

Summary
Day three and time to move down the road to Hiawatha. We arrive to news that we could scatter the carts on the back nine but it is cart path only down below on the front. Ugly sight as we get off the bus. Who gave him that shooter on the bus? Rulz' pool that was set up on the bus has SunShine in the driver’s seat. 54 matches today and with 22 scores over the 100, there are only fifteen upsets. Eighteen holes of Slammer Tour Match play, then a burg beer and fries, present some awards and off we go. Next stop is the duty free shop, good thing there are no drinkers on the trip.

RedDog wins both matches, the first is over LuvLife, vaulting him from 119th to 63rd. His second match is against SunShine, he in his 52nd career event, and she in her 54th, This is their first match together. He wins 4 and 3 to move another 16 steps up the ladder. The shot that is being much talked about was the par three on #6, He landed within a ladies size six of an ace. Good enough for the trifecta {bird, skin & dog} and earned him 89 bones. Today’s BIG BONE leader. Good enough to win you today’s first star and earn a $30 certificate. Also makes you the weekend’s third star for another $20 in Slammer Gear. |

I keep trying to encourage him to change his nickname. Shank {even IF it is SHANKless} is a bad name for a golfer. I told him the story of the RideauView starter, erroneously calling PinShark by the name PinShank and how – PS hasn’t been able to shake it since … well maybe tomorrow at Cedarhill. Well Shankless goes out today in only his third event – all this weekend, goes undefeated and moves away from his foursome in the rankings as he upset HomeSlice to move into the top 55, He also had a Culligan dog on hole #13. Looks like this rookie will also be playing some Slammer Tour – he seems very interested, and even knows where to find the website to cash in his $20 gift certificate for Slammer Gear. |

Well what does that button say on his hat? Lucky strikes again. Today he goes 3-0 again and has a skin on hole five with his birdie. He avenged his only loss on the weekend to Rulz on Friday by taking down the Commish 5 and 4. Although they both get a snowman, he finishes Tit4Tat 4 and 3. One hole later he upsets Smitty and goes home in the second highest ranking spot from Bingo. Congrats Lucky and spend your $10 Slammer Gear gift certificate well. |
