 Notables - Four of the five par 3s yielded doggies: #2 to Juice at 13 feet, #4 to JMoney at 33 feet, the long and difficult #11 to McGoop at 17 feet, and #15 to Angry Bird at 21 feet.

- The weather held quite nicely for MOST of the day -- fluffy clouds and autumn sun -- except that as the first of the Slammers came to the 16th hole, the skies opened up with a snow squall that lasted maybe only five minutes but left a thin blanket of the white stuff that swallowed some golf balls.

Summary
What a crazy day! The event was originally scheduled for Falcon Ridge, but the course pooh-bahs decided that the frost just wasn't going to disappear from its fragile grasses. And so the event was cancelled -- temporarily, that is. For McGoop decided to see if Champlain would be possible. And so ten Slammers headed on over to that course. And although it was no Augusta National and tee blocks were nowhere to be found and the weather at times looked like Nunavut in February, these intrepid souls soldiered on to complete all 18 holes.

In order to qualify for tops in the C class on the weekend, Bookie needed to defeat SuperSy. And he did just that, topping Bubba as well and evening things up with Angry Bird. |
