- Maureen, Sara and Kerry shopped all day in Brockville, but quit early so Maureen could climb all the way to the elevated tee box on 17 to meet up with Ozone (Dad)!
- Cuba gets fined a toonie for an explosive verbal outburst on 11 green, which may have been offensive to some.
- The first group never did figure out the flag colour system, and Aqua only much later explained the simple front-middle-back rotation through the holes sequentially, and with yellow-red-blue flags as idiot proof markers.

- Grumpy and Big Guy played a morning Slammer event at Prescott.
- Brockville G and CC was founded in 1914, so earlier reports of it being founded in 1913 were erroneous. The course was ready in that year but King George V could not attend, causing the delay. In 2014 the club will celebrate its centennial and plans are underway for a special Slammer event. The course was designed by Stanley Thompson, protege of Robbie Robinson, architect of Upper Canada golf course in Morrisburg.

Summary
We had 7 Slammers golfing in 4 hours and 15 minutes and 10 at a fun table after this perfect Sunday afternoon event. Is there a course in our Slammer world that is making more improvements than Brockville ?

Potter owned the course today...we think he may really own it, so to be more accurate, he played better match play golf than the field going 3-0 and grabbed 3 skins and a dog. Later he advised that the curling rink is air conditioned, which brings in really big events which pays for course improvement, which makes Potter prouder of his home course, which clearly induces a great frame of mind for victory ! |

Aqua vaulted from 117 to 77 in the Slammer standings by going 1-1-1 and losing only to the 1st star. While not winning a skin, her entry into that competition made it "official" in true Slammer spirit ! |

BigGuy played 36 Slammer holes today and as he bid us adieu from Brockville after event 2, looked tired and content. He returned 15 minutes later, and handed Potter $5 for losing his match, having forgotten to give it to him earlier. A late but deserving 3rd star ! |
