- Welcome to Alexi, playing in his inaugural event. He was recruited by second timer Riri. These two nineteen year olds, were a minus one in the Junior Open of the Ottawa Sun Scramble last year. The kids are all right and the Tour is in good shape.
- Speaking of Riri, what a move he made on the short par four eighth. With RonBow having to punch out from the woods on the right. The second group couldn't see RonBow. but Riri was standing in the middle of the fairway.
- Rules call - question? Do you know the call when a golf ball is up against the OB stake? Knickers' ball rested up against one on the left hand side of the seventeenth green. OB? drop and hit three?

Summary
Today is the 160th event of this 2014 season. It is the third time, that we have headed down the 401 to this course that not only Big Thunder would call a 'Beauty'. What do we notice? First off, there is no Potter. Not that it hasn't happened before. Also missing is Cuba, who misses when we are here at this course less often than Potter. Alas there is some familiarity. Ryan the starter is here as usual. When I asked Tyler in the Pro Shop, about it - his reply "he is the best that we have." Thank you D-Mac! Small group, but everybody entered the skins game to make it official. Of the eight, five were rookies.

Undefeated, with three successful defences. Those six pars, ten bogeys and two doubles contributed to his best ever plus 14. His favourite pars were on two and sixteen. They were both good enough for a skin. His 25th was a milestone before Gazzif's. Then he had his 26th career skin. |

Playing in only his second event. He started his Slammer career as an A classer. Teed off today from the blues, then went to take on this course for the first time. We all say things about scores. His buddy wants everybody to know that Riri goes 50-38. In fact he had a 48 front eight and 40 back ten. Two birds, one dog and a pair of skins went along with 3-0 record, and he goes eastbound on the 401 with the highest ranking to leave Brockville. |
