Summary
Tuesday event within the City limits at Falcon Ridge and as usual lady luck was not only across the street but on the course as the Slammers avoid another nasty weather forecast that predicted a 40-60% chance of rain and thundershowers. The day started out quite hot and sunny but by the 14th hole all layers and jackets that had accumulated in the bottom of each Slammer's golf bags were on their back. No rain but some frigid cool winds brought the temps down by a dozen degrees or more.

Every Slammer's cousin from another mother, Vinnie completes the hit on IronMaiden & Gru and with the defence win over ZeeMan earns himself a spot in the second round of the Super Senior TC's. One birdie on the 14th and a dog on the tough 16th par three made him smile just like Pesci. Congrats! |

"Speak of the Devil" it's Ozzie again showing it is not just "A Shot in the Dark" as he defends against Tesla and Dutch and you could hear him tell Hacker "No more Tears" on the 18th green as they shake hands. Was it "Ozzmosis" that enabled Ozzie to take down Hacker on his home course? "No Rest for the Wicked" as Ozzie records two birds and takes the skin on the 10th just before the "Blizzard of Ozz" brings down the temps. As he is leaving the 19th hole you can hear him say "Mama I'm coming Home" and then he "Barked at the Moon". Rock on Ozzie! |

Ronbow made his official Slammer Tour debut today and if there was an award for "Most prepared Rookie" he would get my vote. Maybe a nickname change to Boy Scout? Ronbow played his inaugural Slammer matches against BigTee, Gator and Small Pak and records the upsets against all three taking home six points with a birdie stat to boot and starting out his Slammer career ranked in the top 25! We salute you Ronbow! Well done! |
