 Notables - Today's pace was reported by all parties as being excellent. The only group that was waiting today had two things going for them - first being they were a threesome and the second is that Grumpy hasn't taken that extra .5 seconds on all of his shots YET! Even the marshall, stated that there were "no complaints about the Slammers."
- Honourable Mentions today go out to the two TC winners and the Slammer playing his inaugural event. PizzaMan took down The Enigma to advance in the TC "C", and IttyBitty eliminated Subpar from going any further in the "B" {he also upset PointZero to advance 79 rungs on the ladder. Banker {whose name will be changed to Bonzo or Bawks very shortly} went undefeated, and will start his Slammer career in 60th {maybe 62} spot.
- Ball is up in a tree, The Enigma didn't climb up to identify it as his, took a drop and the group was considering challenging him, but seeing as he lost the hole anyways, all was well!

Summary
Weather, weather, weather! I don't understand why we have so much to say about it. YES it is true that when it was announced that Marmotte had bailed, one Slammer suggested that "he must have heard the weather report". I am not sure what THAT means. We all have the equipment, jackets, rainpants, umbrellas, etc. {well maybe not PJ - he forgot his umbrella}. so never bail due to what someone else says. Why did we all waste those two minutes on the 10th hole to cover our bags? Again yesterday Mother Nature proved that she must be a golfer. The refreshing breezes made for another GR8 day at the Slammer office. Hey all BE AWARE! of the construction en route to your event, forget the forecasting, just know about the road / lane closures. Bring out the chips @ Hickories.

This best known Slammer, did it again! Ticklar went undefeated shooting four below his average, had two birds {both for skins}, and a dog. 53 more bones bringing his season total to 535 and moving him into 2nd place. TICKLISH! |

His group was asked at the beginning to try and figure out the reason for his nickname. Hey Chimney, Grumpy would love to see you join The Enigma and Kricket as former smokers. Sometimes this OC is critical of giving stars to undefeated Slammers when they only do what they have to. He only went 3-0, had 2 dogs and 2 birdies {one of which was cut-off}. SMOKING! |

What did you do with the REAL Roy Lawrence? Wow, it was a pleasure watching Duffy play a round of golf with no duffing. Duffy not only shot 12 below his scoring average, had his first career Slammer birdie (let it be known that he had a bogie hitting three off the tee on hole 6), but was hitting all kinds of excellent golf shots all day. His upset of Grumpy moved him 86 notches in the ranking parade, but more awesome was his match with "B" classer PJ. They only shook hands on the 18th teebox. unDUFFable! |
