Summary
Stonebridge is always a pleasure to play and today was no exception. This has been a popular venue for the Slammers and the course was truely in superb condition making this OC think we should have played 'er down today. A full showing with 20 in attendance and all but a few were present on the first tee to see our newest Slammer WEN tee it up and lead the way today. The weather was a little tentative and the dark sky to the South East made it look like we may not finish the round, but it passed and the sun came out again providing us with just enough daylight to finish off the matches.

springlakes (r)
Springlakes is such a sweet nickname for such a powerhouse of a Slammer. Our first star was in a TC "B" match with Smitty and wins the match to advance but it is also important to note that with this win Springlakes has advanced 40 spots in the Slammer ranks to #4! Defending against Clang and with the upset win vs. KaDaver, Springlakes adds 6 points and a bird to his stats going 3-0 for the day. Congrats!
PizzaMan
PizzaMan made me 2nd star at his event yesterday, so I thought I would return the favour...joking !! Our 2nd star PizzaMan goes undefeated with the defence win against Ruskie, a tie with IronMaiden and taking StevieRay's rank so he could make the Commish's top 30 list next week. PizzaMan leaves a slice on hole #15 to collect the doggie and makes the putt for bird to collect the skin...a Slammer trifecta that most likely paid better that Rideau Carleton would have! Cha-ching!
TJ
TJ's performance was also starworthy as be goes 3-0 for 6 points defending against Lynksy, Danger and Grumpy. A steady round shooting 5 below his average, TJ also knabs a doggie right out of the gates sticking it pin high on #2. Well done!
