Summary
The rookies ruled the roost today as they cleaned up taking all the skins and most of the doggies ! Not sure if this is a Slammer record or not, but we had 8 rookies in a field of 16 at Falcon Ridge today...Fantastic!! And Mother Nature was certainly in a good mood over this and granted us a spectacular spring day! Just one of those days when you come off the course after 18 and want to hop right back on the first tee because a day like this just cannot be wasted. But back to our new Slammer friends....so many new faces made it feel like the first day of school and I can guarantee that new friendships were formed as well as some new rivalries. Welcome to all and come back soon!

Second star was just not enough for this rookie his first time out...so he came back and left no room for doubt that today's performance was going to be worthy of the first star honour! On the first fairway he told a tale of picking up the game only 5 years ago...then proceeded to swiftly finish off his opponents going 3-0 with defence wins over Sutty and RedDog and with the upset win over IronMaiden moves himself up into the top 20. But that's not the end of this story as he adds 3 birds that transform into 3 skins and then tops it off with a doggie on #9. Not only does he shoot a tidy 78 on the course today, it IS worth mentioning as he is not just the only player to shoot under 80...but he is the only player to shoot under 90 today! Jelvis is IN the building! (check out the sideburns) Excellent! |

Our 2nd star Bookie goes undefeated winning both his matches and defending his rank against PacMan and Cuddie. Bookie adds 1 doggie to his stats by sticking one close on the 14th hole. Maybe he did so well because Bookie rhymes with rookie! Well done! |

The only other Slammer to go 3-0 for 6 points, Chadderbox earns our 3rd star in his 3rd Slammer event as he records defence wins over Stymie, Macky and BoomStick. With 1 bird, Chadderbox secures his position and will again see his name listed in the top 30 when the Commish puts out his weekly Slammer Rankings presented by Combat Hockey. Congrats! |
