Congrats to the 10 Slammers that participated in the 3rd annual Summer Solstice Extravaganza! They were: Burnsy, Cuba, Number 7, PizzaMan, Smitty, Pingman, IronMaiden, KidsClub, Sunny and Grumpy!
HM: PizzaMan goes 3-0 with a bird
TC "A" MATCH UPDATE: RipZone advances defeating Smitty in the first round
TC "B" MATCH UPDATE: XTour advances taking down Pingman
TC "C" MATCH UPDATE: Metro advances by closing off the match with The Game on the 18th
DOGGIES: 4 doggie holes but unlike the morning event, all were hit with 2 going to Burnsy and 1 each to Ozone and Cuba @ 20 bones ea
SKINS: This afternoon group of 16 Slammers recorded a total of 16 birds ....but still 5 of those birds held up for a skin with 2 going to Chef(birds #7 & #17) and 1 each to Sunny (bird #1), XTour (bird #2) and Smitty (bird #6) @ 16 bones ea

Summary
Event #2 of the 2011 Summer Solstice Extravaganza! The only day of the year where the Slammers are treated to a double dose of match play fun! As in past years we were still in the Arnprior area, but Mountain Creek was a new venue for this featured event. By all accounts the day was a success........thank you to the speedy Slammers in the first event who completed their round in under 4 hours. Not only did we show 'em that the Slammers mean business when it comes to pace of play, but it allowed for a sufficient break between events to enjoy the scrumptious lunch that was arranged by the Commish. One last very important item to note....We have a NEW # 1!!! Congrats to Ozone for reaching the top of the Slammer ranks and doing this only 15 rounds into his rookie season! Thanks to all for another memorable day!

	This rookie's performance today can only be described as stellariffic! Just days ago a thread was started on the Slammer Facebook page and the question was "Who will and who can take down Chef?". That question was answered much quicker than any of us anticipated. Burnsy was certainly a candidate with his almost perfect record against Chef but the man for the job came in under the radar and completed the task swiftly and efficiently shooting 17 strokes below his average. Ozone takes 'em all down going 3-0 with 3 birds and tops off the day with a doggie so he can buy some celebratory brewskies to toast his victory. Congrats and hail to our new #1 !!
	XTour
	XTour continues to shine and is moving faster up the Slammer ranks than Tiger Woods is dropping! Going 3-0, XTour adds 6 points to his stats defending against PingMan and RipZone and with the upset win over Smitty moves into the top 10! He also records 2 birds, 1 good for a skin, and moves on to the next round of the TC "B"s. Awesome!
	Sunny
	Another great day on the course for our third star Sunny who goes 3-0 defending against Grumpy and with upset wins over IronMaiden and KidsClub. Breaking the 80 barrier and shooting 9 strokes below his average, Sunny records 2 birds and takes a skin on the first hole of the day. Sunny is just one of those Slammers who is a joy to play with....and a walking talking quotable! Well done!
