Summary
Holy amateur Batman.....it's raining rookies on the Slammer Tour! A grand total of seven 2012 newbies, who are just cutting their teeth on the tour, teed it up today. It was destination Gatineau for the 1st time this year and, with the new pro shop now open, we started off on hole #1 and played the course in its proper layout. The course is looking good and provides a good test for all level of golfers. A day that started off cool finished in warmth and sunshine. While the club house has yet to open it could not deter the hearty slammers who held their own tail gate party. IronMaiden and Lucky held court with their own brewers retail outlet offering free samples together with a few salty snacks to keep the thirst level up. Well done MeekaGolf and PointZero for excellent rounds!

	This rookie, in his first Slammer event, came prepared to play. From his drive on the 1st tee to the distance control displayed on the par 3s, MeekaGolf served notice that he is going to be a force to be reckoned with. He posts 2 birdies on his way to a 3-0 start and racks up 2 skins. For good measure he puts the leash on 3 of the doggies leaving but one on the table for everyone else to growl over. Congratulations on a great start!
	pointZero
	Seeking revenge for an earlier defeat at the hands of Lucky, PointZero set about serving up a big old fashion helping of kick butt today. After shooting a very solid front nine he pushed it into overdrive and went two under on the back. When it was all said and done PointZero pencils in 4 birdies, wins 2 of his matches, plays Chef to a draw and racks up a trifacta of skins to boot. He scores his lowest Slammer round since joining the Slammers 160 games ago and is most deserving of second star status.
	Polo (r)
	3rd star today goes to another rookie playing in only his second Slammer event. With a very solid round, he tops his first outing by five strokes without the benefit of any birdies. Going 3-0 in his matches Polo earns himself a spot on the podium today.
