Summary
An absolutely perfect day to be out on the golf course. While the fairways were beginning to show the effects of the area drought, they were still very playable. Four of the six participants are 1st year rookies but you would never have known it. All acquitted themselves well and there were several threats of "wait until next time" bandied about.

You play with the Dragon and you play with fire....you play with fire you're bound to get burnt! Well, This Slammer posted 3 birdies on the day to keep his average well about 3 1/2 per round. He goes 2-0 and picks up two "unofficial" skins along the way. Dragon lays claim to 1st star on the day. |

Usually with this small of a group I only pick two stars. However, this rookie's efforts on the day force me to make an exception. Playing in his 2nd event he goes 1-1, pencils in a birdie and, while he didn't slay the Dragon he sure knocked off a few of the beasts scales before ceding defeat. Hitch is full value for 3rd star today. |
