Summary
There's something special about playing on a Thursday and at our favorite Slammer course at that...home of the Commish Cup. Coming to Casselview is like coming home. Lots of friendly faces: a big hello from Claude as we pass him in the clubhouse, a starter shack between the 1st and 10th tees, welcoming smiles in the proshop and at the main bar, and the cart girls that seem to pass at the exact moment we need a refill. Two groups took it to the course today with some interesting outcomes in the matches. Just one of those magical days where classes don't seem to matter and it's just mano-a-mano out there.

BigTee must have been teeing it up big and tall today as he flew over his competition defending against Pommie and securing a top 30 spot with the win over PointZero. At first the group summary sheet indicated that he had also succesfully taken down TadPole in the #2 position but after the numbers were entered into the system, a tie was the actual result of their battle. Two wins and a tie are still not too shabby....with FOUR birdies that were good for THREE skins. Awesome! |

PizzaMan has been successfully living up to his new motto and continues to "Deliver"!. He had a rank to defend and that was all there was to it today. Golf is so simple sometimes and PizzaMan made it look that way today defending against IronMaiden, Shorts and Deter by the 13th hole. But that's not all "she" wrote. Two doggies and a par skin top off a great day on the links. Congrats! |

Pommie brought his B game today and yes, that was good enough to take down PointZero for two points and a lofty rank that will certainly earn him some serious attention at his next event when his rank is updated to #26. We all know that it is every Slammer's right to not challenge the top ranked person within a foursome when one is the lowest ranked in the group. Pommie exercises this option today....if he had not he would have been ranked #2 by the 16th hole! Even though it didn't really happen, it was worth mentioning. Nice! |
