Summary
We were scheduled for a 12 o'clock start. OC phones the course two days before and the proshop tell us that our 1st tee off is 11. We negotiate tee times to 11:20 and 11:30. We get to the course and we didn't tee off till 11:50. And thank goodness since Deter has car/club problems. See the 3rd star writeup. The day was great for golfing with no moisture falling, sunny skies, moist fairways and greens that hold. Some say Canadian has the cutest cart girls but you will have to determine that. The golf was great, the Slammership enjoyable and the matches were close with over half of them determined on 17 or 18. A great day for being on the fairway side of the links. Thanks to our fellow Slammers for a great day!!

So whats the Hitch. An Englishman living in Quebec and man does he hit the ball sweet. He went 1-0-1 and was almost the Dragon slayer. Yes, Hitch went hunting Dragon. He was 3 up on Dragon on 13 but left 18 all square. But Hitch lite up the course with a bird, 4 skins and a doggie. Thats the Hitch...he is a great player. Congrats on the great round. |

Some say he doesn't smile much on the course but he was beaming today as he went 3-0-0 taking down BigTee, KidsClub and Rusty. He tried out a set of Callaway irons from Canadian, would have score much better with his brand new Burner 2.0 irons but he still went undefeated. He held some great poker hands as witnessed by his score card. He also smiled when the beverage cart came around...was it her or was it the beer! Excellent!! |

Our 3rd star exemplifies resilience. At the 1st tee all the SLammers are looking for him. The OC goes to proshop to check of his whereabouts. Apparently Deter locked his clubs in his van and couldn't get in. Canadian provides him with a complete set of Callaways but of course he had to buy balls and tees. Without a warmup he crushes his ball on the 1st tee. He proceeds to take 2 of the 3 dogs today with his rental irons. Nice recover and that is the SLammer spirit. Outstanding!! |
