Summary
Wow! Today's event sold out during the lottery (surprise, surprise). If fact, there were 9 Slammers who got bumped because there were not enough spaces at this incredibly popular venu. After asking proshop staff, marshalls and starters of the course conditions, they all gave the same answer, "mid-summer greens and fairways". They we bang on as a total of 17 birdies and 1 eagle were recorded today. The Tour is full steam ahead for the 2013 season with daily events. Let the Slammin' begin!

Clang was a superstar today, as evidenced by the giant 1st star, star-shaped cookie prepared by Helen, our Slammer Tour baker. Clang's victims today...Compressor on 13, a new open class rookie, MommiesBoy on 15, and on the next hole, Snake for the perfect 3-0 sweep. 3 birdies and 2 skins made first star selection a piece of cake, I mean cookie. Shooting A-Class scores in his first 3 events...if he keeps this up, Clang will be a tough match play opponent. |

After a winter filled with lessons, our resident Marlboro Man (no he doesn't smoke) has started the season on a good note. After stealing a rank and a fiver from Juice last week, she was out to bring down The Enigma. Grumpy became a noun on 12, HullAss felt his wrath on 14, while sweet 16 was all Juice could muster on this day. Well done! |

Chef was his up to his old tricks today. With three birds, a doggie and a skin, Chef was a shoe-in for Sunday Stardom. 15 and 16 were OldSpice and Cuba's numbers, while it took him 18 to hold off KaDaver's charge and remain #1, for our first defense of the year. Well done! |
