Notables - A big welcome to three new Slammers: Walrus, Dick Clark and Ledgie! Just about the nicest guys and come to the Slammer Tour ready to go and stylin'! They accepted our invitation on the first tee, received a two minute crash course in Slamming and they were off! Great job and we'll see you all again soon
- CULLIGAN DOGGIES: Only half the doggies were claimed today - Holes 3 & 16 were doggieless through nine Slammers making each dog 22 bones each with one for Crenshaw (#7, 18ft) and the other for IronMaiden (#14, 12ft)
- DYNAMIC PHYSIO SKINS: Nine Slammers, eight in on skins and seven holes netted a skin with two for rookie Ledgie (par #4, bird #11) and one each to T-Bone (par #2), Cuba (par #5), Crenshaw (bird #8), PizzaMan (par #9) and IronMaiden (par #18) @ 5 bones a piece
- Thank you to Cuba for Skins mastering today and to our newest Slammer Walrus for doing the Doggie mastering...pacing off each doggie, measuring with the doggie leash and recording splendidly! Much appreciated gentlemen

Summary
Such a great October day and it's Thanksgiving! We were certainly thankful for the fantastic weather in the mid teens and even though the sun didn't come out much and the breeze was stiff at times, several Slammers were in shorts and skorts. We were thankful for the new Slammers that joined us on the first tee and were eager to participate in some Slammin' fun. We were also thankful for Johnathan and Faye who welcomed us when we arrived as they always do and were there to greet us on the 19th. Mountain Creek is in such fantastic condition it really is a shame that the season is ending. Prime mid summer conditions with plush fairways, thick rough and smooth greens. Looking forward to reading about how our fellow Slammers did at the double event at Glen Mar today.

PizzaMan |
|
It was Pizza mania on the 19th as all hailed the first star for going 2-0 as he defended against Pearls and recorded the upset win over IronMaiden moving fifty plus spots up the Slammer ranks to the top 20. PizzaMan recorded a birdie on the 10th that was cut off...but some super steady play earned him a skin on the 9th as he was the only one to finish off the front nine with a par. Congrats! |

Ledgie (r) |
|
Ledgie "The Legend" played in his first Slammer event today and I can guarantee we will be seeing this new Slammer out again soon. This is what we know of this newbie...1. He has a full closet of Slammer ready attire and today was voted most stylin' with his matching purple beret and purple plaid shorts. 2. He seems to be able to fill a summary all on his own with quotables. 3. His licence plate is LEDGIE13. This rookie will start his Slammer career with 2 points, a bird and two skins ! Nice ! |

Dick Clark (r) |
|
The Slammer Tour now has Dick Clark, that's right, the Tour's oldest teenager. As Walrus asked him if he wanted to join in on some match play fun today he immediately responded with a yes and when we asked what his nickname would be it seemed to be an easy response as well. Dick. Dick Clark. Walrus and Ledgie both confirmed Mr Clark was a solid competitor and this held true as he won the match against both finishing off Walrus on the 15th and Ledgie on the 18th. Four points and a birdie will be this Slammer's starting stats. As he left the 19th hole he said "For now, Dick Clark — so long!", accompanied with a military salute. |
