Summary
Open season was declared by ten travelling Slammers today with a little jaunt to the Syracuse area. Foxfire GC at Village Green is always a fun track and the pro shop was super organized to deal with "the first come, first served" crowd that flooded the course before 9am today. Groups were put out in order of arrival and the Slammers were off only fifteen minutes after their anticipated 10am start time even though the course had a frost delay until 9:30. The course was a little wet in areas but there were no complaints from these die hard Slammers who were simply happy to be back on grass. And even though this Winter was a mild and relatively short one, watching your ball sail into the sky is a beautiful thing. Spring is still a couple of weeks away so getting this full weekend of golf in is a treat. Great group today and more of the same tomorrow. Ordering Chinese and poker tonight ! IronMaiden

For the second time this week Chucker has claimed first star honors...last Sunday at Golfomax and again today showing he is a formidable opponent on the screens and in the real world. Chucker wins both matches against IronMaiden and Boomer and the two birds he circled on his match play card hold up for the skin. He adds a dog to top off a great start to his outdoor season. Congrats ! |

McGoop must have been playing all Winter because there was not a single sign of rust on this Slammer as he kicks it into gear right out of the gate. He defends against Juice, Shteeme and Tesla ( all three 8&7! ), takes home the first doggie of the day, records two birds of which one holds up and tacks on an additional skin as the only Slammer to par the 14th. Well done ! |

TDog was playing in her second career event today and this rookie Slammette took down DJD and Cracker to move her from 999 to 43 in the Slammer ranks ! Four points will be added to her stats and if coming on this spontaneous Slammer road trip weekend is any indication of her love for this great game, hopefully she will be out to play with us a lot this upcoming season. Nice ! |
