Notables

Shotgun events mean that we need multiple Doggie Masters. Usually at least two are needed, but today Quick Snap had to provide us with four. Thank you Chef, Gator and Malone for assisting Grumpy in picking up the balls and for doing your measurements. Today the job was easy - as there was never any need to have a close measure-off. The furthest of the four winners was Carpro's 52.5 inches. The 'other' Doggie Master measurements' were all many MANY feet away.
The BROKER4Tickets skins game once again provided big bones for few skins. Round one we had only one 235 bone skin. In the second round, we had three worth 68 bones each. Today again there were only three. These were worth 96 bones. Each was a birdie three on a par four and went out to Chef, Lucky & TwinDad. 96 bones means that these three are all on the plus side this season, even though they won just their 7,7,5th skin .
EAGLE ALERT - I just mentioned three skins. Well today we had a rare happening. At approximately 2:00, Hollywood Hogg had an eagle three on hole 14. One hour later, Malone cut him off with his own eagle on the same hole. This was HH's first career EAGLE. He is still 25 behind the leader. Malone's was his 26th.
MILESTONE - Group 3 - TwinDad's birdie on hole six was his 25th career birdie. It only took him seven more holes to start his second 25, with his deuce on 13.
MILESTONE - Group 11 - FingZ won his 600th career bone with his dog on hole ten.
MILESTONE - Group 15 - We call him Hollywood Hogg but his mother calls him piglet. He won his 100th career bone today.
MILESTONE - Group 16 - When Kaki defeated Gatorette, she collected her 100th career point.
MILESTONES - Group 18 - Big Guy gave the Doggy Master his entry. (although this looks like a repeat to the second round - here is the difference ... that was his 3500th contribution of his career, and is only the second Slammer to get there...... then there is DIDDLEDOOB today. He also won his 100th career point.
T-Bird WINS a playoff! (actually his OT wins bookend two straight losses).
Three upsets cause a very new top ten ... Gator(63) upsets Shteeme(3). P-Diddy(162) upsets Lucky(4), & Johny Drama(77) does the same to #6 Juice. Exiting the top ten are Shades, Rulz & Nibbs.
Carpro Bogeyed hole #4... What happened? there will be an investigation!
The FINAL NOTABLE is the MATCH of the DAY. Today we had a couple of our Club Championships decided with a playoff. Seven of our Tour matches ended in a draw. A little known fact is that in match play - regardless of whatever hole that you start on - the matches will always end the same way (maybe ending on a different hole, but ultimately ALWAYS with the same winner). No matter how many times that you try it - you will see this to be true. So in a shotgun format - feel free to go over there to the right and exercise the little feature that pointZero has added to the "PLAYER MATCHES". Lets use Newfie and Iron Giant as our match of the day. Feel free to move over there and change their starting hole. No matter what hole you start them off - they will always have a draw. Here is your shock fact to go along with this match. Start them off on hole 7 and see that Iron Giant was never in the lead. He only became AS (all square) on their last hole. Now look again and start them off on hole 10 and again on hole 17. If you really care they actually started on hole three.

Summary
We had an opening, in our event. It was in group nine where our Club Open members were playing their championship. The Carleton pro (Carpro), Dave McDonald, decides to play his 13th career event. Did he ever! Breaks the 70 with four birdies and also collects a dog. What a gracious host! The course members were just ending their early morning shotgun. CG&YC had their members play a shotgun format in the morning then opened their course to us. They even provided awesome weather for us . The meal - MY FAVE! The help in the dining room were all so accommodating. Thank you Dave (you are welcome to our bones), and your team! You will see us again BUT when will we see you again?

Stars
	Johnny Drama
	J D and his foursome started on hole 8. An "A" score, three birdies (one on each of the three parcels of land that make up this course), two upsets and a 3-0 (albeit one was by default - Where's Duke?) record. As I am typing (grumpy slowly goes through an auditing process), one of the first things 'caught' is Johny Drama's score. Score does not matter in match play but the live scoring DOES NOT agree with the signed score card - HE WAS BETTER? He beat Juice (5and4), and moved way up the ladder. One hole later, he hustled da hustla. His first birdie was on hole 15 (only holes 13-16 are across that street). The next member of his aviary was caged on the 'mainland' with his four on hole 18. Across the road again for holes 2-5 where he rounded out his trifecta of feathered friends on hole 3. This is only his seventh event, but is the second time in the last three that he has made it onto the podium. Come back soon J D! Oh and that score? Well he wasn't in a three way tie for second best round. He was actually second, and the tie was for third.
	Gator
	Starting off on lucky hole #13 didn't bother the Gator! He had Shteemed Koala with Chips, and by their second last hole he was ready for the main course. That appetizer earned him three upsets (higher division - not rank) and all against B Slammers. His first victim went home sick (maybe koalas are afraid near alligators), then he took care of Chip-me-in 5and3. His biggest match was vs. Shteeme, who held a 3-0 career record against the lizard. I have to go look to see how close the Shteemes are to Beauvoir. Gator's par on hole 11 was enough to move up 54 rungs on the Slammer ladder. Karma arranged for Gator to be the Doggie Master but only for hole 12, and all matches were done by the time he took out his tape measure.
	FingZ
	Senior Club EG Championships and these four started on hole nine. They played three rounds amassing nine scores between 80-91. Close? Well for the championship which is stroke play - they were 5 strokes apart. Today was the first time that FingZ ever played Nivlac or Spud. He is now 1-0 against each of them. He had a dog (ten inches), three birdies (a par 3, a par 4 and a par 5), and two wins. His one loss came at the hands of his Ottawa Sun Scramble partner, ShelGame. They played all three matches in this Club EG Senior club Championship. Their match play record was 1-1-1. Felicitations!
