 Notables - Two MPC matches moved three Slammers to Divisional finals. In the B division Chadderbox and GreyGoose were all even after 11. Up to that point they had each won three holes and five were halved. That was it, C-Box woke up and went plus two over the next five holes to close off the Goose. Word has it, that it all happened when CBox actually hit a goose on the 11th and got into the Grey one's head. Chadderbox (#16 seed) moves onto the final to face #2 Stymie.
- The other MPC match was in the newly created Pairs division. Many have been heard speaking of the great idea of this pairs division, however unfortunately this is actually only the sixth match that has happened (five in the lower half of the bracket). What a great match it was as Malone/Grumpy (#3 seed) won the odd number holes in the front nine. The Game/Gator (#2 seed) won each of the even number holes and as you all know that is NOT good when there are nine holes. Second seeded boyZ changed their strategy on hole ten and decided to reverse the flow and win the 11th as well. Gator and Grumpy went AS for the last six holes and The Game who had been owning Malone on the first four par fives... Sorry Game you were a pleasure to play with even during the...
- So in a bracket where 1 vs 4 is one semi (going Saturday at Casselview) and 2 vs 3 is the other, we have to take our hat off to Intruder for his 'seeding'ness. Well done rookie MPC coordinator!
- It was only a five birdie day and two of those were cut off on hole three as both GreyGoose and Malone flirted with the 1550 ACE bones. The measurement (for the dog) was made and there was only half a ball difference. GG will explain it better in the quotables
- as for the doggies all six were hit and the threesome of group one left a ball on the green everytime. The second group consisting of four 'A' players never removed one of them. I want to know what was in the gas tank of the Cracker & Greygoose cart - they had to have five coloured doggie balls returned to them.
- Malone had to rush off to hockey practice, therefore he donated his winnings to the Kids (why didn't you play better? for the kids)

- final notable - that A group must have had a weird day - the final group not only hit into them - but almost played through them. A good thing they didn't or who else would have been picking up after them.

Summary
Well Slammers, Marshes is always a great course to play - even if it beats me up!. So many other golfers stayed off the course today - something about weather? Yes I admit I put my jacket on as we walked off the green on hole two (without an eight), but I took that jacket off before I hit my tee shot on four. I want to make a suggestion to all Slammers. Know what is expected of you as you go to The Marshes. Be aware of changes, they will only release a cart when there are two golfers on it with their clubs, checking in to the proshop / or not, stop and report in with the starter, and apparently we will only have a limited time allowed for warm-up. Don't quote me - I am only relaying what GD at bag drop told me. Nobody embraces change - but lets be aware as we arrive.

The only Slammer in this field of eleven that went 3-0 today. "The Tour's most consistent golfer" (that quote comes from a guy that has never beaten him in their four matches). After shaking Macdahustla's hand on hole 13 (for his 100th career point) , he then accepted McDon's two holes later. The final win was on eighteen where he and Deeker entered AS. Banker hit his drive, took out his Bushnell, measured his distance - hit his shot and coolly sunk the par. Forgot something and thankfully bought the finder a beer. Is this the first Roscoless Banker event? |

C-Box, not only moves on to the MPC B division final. He also went 2-0, had a dog ball on hole 15 almost erroneously reported as the winner, accepted the request to be Skins Master, and maybe was louder than usual. Somebody explain to me please! His nickname was given to him sarcastically using this quote "•Welcome to tour rookie, newly anointed Chadderbox, not even Boomer could get a word in edgewise with him!' way back on April 13, 2011. He was and usally is quiet. Where does the loudness come from? |

He chastised the old Grumpmeister, for taking so long to do the report, and then I got sick. Well you carb ... congratulations! on that ONE shot and then a putt NOT only wins 27 bones but also is the tiebreaker to beating Deeker out of stardom!
