- Wee Willie arrived late to join Dyke as our last two entrants. Nice hat Dyke! Wee Willie, we have a picture as to why the nickname.
- PizzaMan throws out some cold coffee from his cup... “It wasn’t coffee”. He and Pozzo share a cart. The historians are still checking if it was the first Slammer cart containing four Zs.
- Hacker may be a little delusional. He talked about getting his ball over the drainage ditch. The rest of us, including the golf course, call it The Gorge.
- Malone enters the event as #7, goes undefeated yet drops to #11. The eQuinelle event gets added and Malone wakes up as #15.
- All indicators suggest the prime rib was fantastic. So was the salmon and the chicken Kiev that we had for dinner as we heard many renditions of Happy Birthday and were treated to all of the valuable prizes.
- Thank you once again to Steamer, IronMaiden and PizzaMan. These three off duty OCs handled the dog and skin duties like the Masters that they are.

Summary
Golf-O-Max Fall Getaway. Welcome to the 6th Annual visit to Smuggler’s Glen. Everybody had their various weather gear prepared. It is Fall, there can be some cold, there can be some wind. Today we weren’t going to need rain gear or umbrellas, but there were some toques, some gloves, nice sweaters, jackets and those Slammer Tour fleeces were abundant. No shot gun today and we were faced with a bit of a challenge getting 14 groups off with an original 11:30 start time. Normally that would not be a problem if there was not a frost delay to start the day. Everybody vowed to watch Pace of Play. The last four groups had some challenges coming in before dusk, each one cooperating with the group behind, spotting their balls. Mission accomplished. The last group came in with a 5, a 6, a 7 and an 8. Hey Steamer, wanna tell us why?

Hazy beats all three of his buddies today. The boys come out to this annual getaway each Fall, however, while playing only in their foursome, it is hard to move up in the rankings. His defeat over Alluken did allow him to jump from 561 to 529. But they did have a lot of fun in that foursome and sure won a lot of bones, including a couple of dogs and a couple of skins. Hazy skinned an eagle on Wild Creek (#6).

The Apostle continues his undefeated season. He came to Smuggler’s with a 5-0-1 record and ranked 147. He defended against Dracula, beat Irons to move up 115 steps, and then upset #5 Popeye. Felicitations! |

Primo’s got game! Too bad he only comes out to Binghamton and Smuggler’s Glen. This is match play. Although a bad game for Primo, he took care of BearCat and Gator on the 17th hold and completed his sweep in the dark over Grumpy. He came to Gananoque ranked 195, he upset #s 108, 42 and 22. |
