Summary
Prime Minister Harper expressed the feelings of all Canadians today and praised the spirit and devotion of our military: "There are no words to express our profound gratitude to our servicemen and women who 'together with their families and friends' put their interests and security of our country ahead of their own". As has become a yearly tradition, the Slammers took it to the course today and at exactly 11:11am on this 11th day of November 2011, we stood in silence and remembered. And deep in our chests we could feel the presence of the seven Griffin helicopters as they hovered over us several times during our round. I looked up at one point and noticed that one of the seven had broken away from the formation and later read that this is called "The Missing Man manoeuvre". A solemn and beautiful tribute to our fallen soldiers.

The Slammer formerly known as Boomer has left the country club scene and returned to his roots and even though he warned of jet lag and weeks of downtime he still "managed" a first star performance with the upset win over Crenshaw and defending against CannyJack to take 4 pts with 1 bird and adding 2 skins to his stats. Nice Boomfo! |

The Grrrrreat Gaziff was certainly in his element today as he also takes down all his opponents and takes their ranks! With the upset wins over Pommie and Bubba, Gaziff is now the top ranked "D" classer. And with only 1 week and 2 days left until the official end to our Slammer season, can he hold on to take the title? Awesome! |

Crenshaw was sporting a new head fashion and even though he couldn't hear us yell fore! he certainly kept those ears warm. The "bunny" ears probably kept him focused as well as he went 1-1 and padded his stats with 2 birds, 3 skins and a doggie. Congrats! |
